Chris Sullivan
Director of Burial Operations & Memorials
Hired in September of 1994 as a seasonal member of the mowing crew, Chris joined the Horticulture staff after only one month as an employee where he stayed, earning Master Gardner status from former ONLA and becoming a Certified Cremation Technician from CANA during that time, until 2002 when he transferred to Oak Hill Cemetery. At Oak Hill, Chris learned the rest of cemetery maintenance, becoming an all-around grounds employee.
A promotion of Grounds Supervisor in March of 2005 brought Chris back to Spring Grove, supervising the Customer Service and Marker teams. Since then, every few years, Chris was promoted through the management ranks, including a time as Manager of Safety, to his current position as Director of Burial Operations and Memorialization, or Sexton, in 2018.
A Cincinnati native, Chris graduated from Walnut Hill High School in 1985 and the University of Cincinnati in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences with a concentration in Horticulture. Chris is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys working in all 4 seasons.
