Weekend Walkabouts are walking tours offered once each month, May through October. Your $5 donation will go to the Heritage Foundation to further efforts in education, preservation, and community outreach. Registration is required as space is limited. Registration will open for this tour on September 7, 2024 at noon.

TOUR TOPIC: MEMORIAL MAUSOLEUM STAINED GLASS WINDOWS

In 1963, Spring Grove built its first communal mausoleum, the Memorial Mausoleum.  This magnificent piece of architecture is a classic among American cemeteries and features stained glass, faceted glass, and Gemmaux windows, veined and matched marble, bas relief, mosaics, and wood carvings.   The tour focuses on the windows and some mosaics.  Learn from our expert docents about the origins, artisanship, and the stories behind each of the breathtaking window masterpieces.
