"There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after thy are gone,
the light remains."
Wanell New, born in Florida on February 4, 1926, was the mother of David Tipton McCulley; grandmother to Tina, and the great grandmother to seven of Tina's adopted children, Mary, Katie, Zack, Telly, Ashley, Matthew and Jonathan. She loved all who were around her and those who came to know her, and she always lended a helping hand if she could spare it.
Before her life slowed down, she always enjoyed spending time with the great grandchildren that would often visit, and her dog Maggie, while often sipping from her bottle of Jack Daniels and telling her stories of her childhood. She also loved to read, sit outside watching all of the activities happening on the lake, and going back to Florida to visit her brother, Floyd as well as her sister, Estelle. She loved all who were around her and those who came to know her, and she always lended a helping hand if she could spare it.
Even though this is just some of the greatest things about her, our time with her will never be forgotten, and the memories will always stay with us until it is time to meet again. She was and always will be loved by many.
