Virginia "Gini" Mercurio (née Mitchell), 74, of Cincinnati, died June 18, 2021 in her home.
Gini was born December 1, 1946, in Cincinnati to Harry "Dadsie" and Grace Mitchell.
She graduated from Seton High School in Cincinnati. She continued her education at The College of Mount Saint Joseph, graduating with a BA in interior design. She went on to pursue a nursing degree as an LPN later in her life.
She was an amazingly talented artist that loved to draw, oil paint and create wood sculptures of her animals, children and grandchildren. She instilled in her children that you can do anything you put your mind to. She led by example. If she wanted to succeed at something, there was no stopping her!
She is survived by her children Mike (Deanna) of San Diego and Jackie (Greg) of Cincinnati, her grandchildren Spencer, Ben, Anna and Ava. She is also survived by her sister Vicki Sedlacek (Dennis) and her nieces, Amber and Laura.
She will always be remembered as a mom, sister, daughter and wife that went above and beyond. She was also an amazing dog and bird mom. She will be missed dearly and thought of every day. Rest in peace.
Memorial Services will be held July 10 at 11 am at Our Lady of Victory Church. 810 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, OH. Light refreshments to follow in the convocation center.
Donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Cincinnati.
