Obituary

Virgil Brooksbank, 77 of Cincinnati passed away November 29. He was born June 24, 1945 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Clyde and Rosemarie Brooksbank.

Loving husband to Wanda Lee Brooksbank who preceded him in death. Beloved father of Russell Brooksbank and Ronald Brooksbank. Father figure to Heather, Amber, Brandon, and Christina. Loving grandfather of Autumn, Aaron and Aiden, and great grandfather of Eiris and Cassandra. Beloved uncle to many, both blood related and adopted. Dear brother of Hank, Mary, Bill, Mike, Kay, Linda and the late Edwin, Clyde, Ann, Jerry, and Rosemarie.

Virgil proudly served our country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War, bravely serving two tours. He retired from Queen City Metro after 30+ years. Above all, Virgil was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and a great friend to all.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 4, 3-5 PM at Spring Grove Funeral Home (4389 Spring Grove Ave.). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday December 5, 10 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church (2501 Riverside Dr.). Entombment will immediate follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
