Shannon Kaye Closson, age 40, a resident of Batavia, OH, passed away on March 22, 2021.
Born on November 26, 1980 in Leesville, LA to Dennia Pike and the late Lennie Kip Pike.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Stan and Lorraine Durbin; aunt, Leeann Rich; and cousins, Jason and Kelly Rich.
In addition to her Mother, Shannon is survived by her husband, Sean Closson; sons, Michael and Dustin Gamble, Tristan and Marshal Closson; sisters, Heather Pike and Nicole Pike; niece, MyAsia Crutchfield; nephews, Michael Crutchfield, Kyan McClinton, Damien Arnold; sisters-in-law, Ashley Harris and Earlene Closson; aunts, Melissa Taylor and Audra Stiles; uncle, Stanley Durbin; cousins, Erica McGue, Dawnell Merritt, and Zoey Rich.
Shannon attended Western Hills High School. She worked in retail for over 20 years.
She had a passion for animals- especially cats. She enjoyed doing puzzles and attending family functions. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween and enjoyed Horror films. Other hobbies include reading, writing in her journal, and was a collector of movie and music memorabilia. She especially loved spending time with her children and family and loved being a mother. She would go out of her way to ensure they were happy. Shannon was always smiling despite any situation. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for her family----and cats.
Friends may gather with the family at Spring Grove Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Ave in Cincinnati, on April 2, 2021 from 2-3 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM.
