Obituary

Orene  Louise Copelan (Bothwell) Foreman, Born April 3, 1929,  married to the late Richard E. Foreman, Cincinnati, Ohio.  Formerly married to the late Harry J. Bothwell, was laid to rest Monday December 7th at Spring Grove Cemetery. Dear sister of Dr. Robert W. (Pat) Copelan, Lexington Kentucky.

Born in Cincinnati to Orene Ebert Copelan and Col. Robert William Copelan. She attended Walnut Hills Jr. High, Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, OH and graduated from Western Hills High school in Cincinnati Ohio. She went on to graduate from University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics.

She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.  Orene stayed close with many of her sorority sisters during her lifetime.  They called themselves “ The Club”. She loved music and sang in the choir at the Church of the Redeemer where she was a member for many years.  Orene and Rick also belonged to Trinity- by-the- Cove Episcopal Church in Naples, Florida where she participated in the “ Church Mouse Ministries”.

Orene was an avid golfer and was a member of Losantiville Country Club, Hyde Park Country Club, Cincinnati and the Bonita Bay Club, Bonita Springs, Florida.

Orene spent many years volunteering at the Christ Hospital and the Children's Hospital NICU. Orene’s love of Elephants lead to an extensive collection which is now being enjoyed by her family.

Children of Orene and Harry include Linda B Mautner, H. John (Betty) Bothwell, Lisa B. (Jack) Roehr, Nancy B. (Ken) Grooms. Orene's stepchildren include James (Judy) Foreman and Sally (Llew) Humphreys. Grandchildren include Ben J. Mautner, Allison D.  (Rob) Jackson, Adam J. Bothwell, Sarah R. (Danny) Larsen, Ryan A. Dickey,  Grant T. (Kelly) Roehr, Laura J. (Zach) Obrecht, Jacob R. Bothwell, Paige E. Roehr,  Bowen (Megan) Humphreys, Drake (Adeline) Humphreys, Jesse D (Eileen) Brackenbury and Lauren (Mark) Bedson. Great grandchildren include Zoe and Violet Jackson, Audrey, Hannah and Emma Larsen, Rhett Dickey, Henry, Oliver and Eve Brackenbury.

Memorial Donations in her honor may be made to “The Elephant Sanctuary” (27 E. Main St. Hohenwald, TN 38462) or The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (1241 Elm St. Cincinnati, OH 45202).
