Mollie Gail Allen was born April 25, 1926 in Columbia South Carolina to Suzie Griffin (mother) and George Brown (father). She moved to Greensboro, NC in 1931. She departed this life February 3, 2021 at the age of 94.
Attended J.C. Price Elementary school and later James B. Dudley high school. She later went to school to be a nurses aide. She retired from Visiting Home Association after working there for 15years.
She loved listening to the Reds play baseball on the radio and watching them on TV. She never missed a game. She loved working picture puzzles, cross words puzzles and reading her daily newspaper. She saw just about every Hallmark movie that was ever made, and every episode of Law and Order, Family Feud and Jeopardy.
She was a loving and caring person. She played an important role in her familys life. She was personable, outgoing and never met a stranger.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at Living Hope Baptist church by Pastor Eddie Frost.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Matthews, grandson Charles Matthews, granddaughter Cheryl Lewis, nee Matthews, granddaughter Christie Matthews; her great-grandchildren Chase Matthews, Corey Matthews, Christopher Matthews, Ashley Hobbs, Erin Lewis, Lauren Lewis, Cameron Carr, Tacora Carr, Coray Carr, Tristin Carr and Charity Carr and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and all those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her brother Alexander Griffin and grandson Corey Darnell Matthews.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am until the time of services at 11:00am, at the Spring Grove Funeral Homes, 4389 Spring Grove Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45223
