Obituary

 Weissmann, Michael IV “Mikey” , age 50 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly with his family by his side on October 28, 2020. Beloved husband of Janine “Nina” (Melnick), devoted father of Briar and James, loving son of Mary and the late Michael Weissmann III, dear brother of Tony, Brenda (Patrick) Burke, Mark (Sherri), and Stephen (the late Cynthia), dear brother-in-law of Dianne (Kenny) Hall, & Susie (Bob) Koester, loving uncle of Dominic Weissmann, Gage (Rachael), Ryan, Keith, & Elizabeth Burke, Ashley (Chris) Johnson, Matthew Weissmann, Sarah (Jay) Johnson, Stephen Jr. (Amanda), & Brandin Weissmann, Aggie (Eric) Hall, Kenny (Tricia) Hall, Billy (Alexandra) Koester, & Bobby Koester. great uncle to Cameron, Brooklyn, Aurora, Wren, Waylon, and Nellee Lynn, Will, Alex, Sophie, Bryce, Julia, and Owen He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mike leaves behind a very special extended family that we wish to extend our sympathy to, we will be forever grateful to all of you for being in Mike’s life. Michael was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 20, 1969, attended St. Boniface elementary school, Roger Bacon High School, served his nation honorably as a U.S. Navy Damage Controlman aboard the USS Thomas S. Gates, and then served the citizens of Dillon, Colorado, Liberty Township and Green Township, Ohio as a dedicated firefighter and paramedic. He enjoyed gardening, birdwatching & stargazing and will be remembered for his famous .22 fun shoots. He was a dedicated outdoorsman, an active member of the Southern Ohio Dog and Game Protective Association and the National Muzzle-loading Rifle Association in Friendship, Indiana. Mike will be greatly missed. When you think of Mike, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. A public drive-thru visitation to be held at Green Township Fire/EMS Station 55, 5410 Audro Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45247, 10am - 2pm on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. Memorial contributions can be made in Mike’s honor to Green Twp Professional Firefighters Charitable Foundation, 3207 Citation Lane, North Bend, OH 45052.
