Obituary

Cincinnati - Mary Ann (Cowdery) Schmidlin, 91, passed away with her loving family by her side at the Hospice Center of Hamilton on May 16, 2023. She was born on August 2, 1931 to the late Frank and Catherine Cowdery. She married the love of her life on July 28, 1956. They would have celebrated 67 years of marriage before her passing.

Along with her husband, she raised a family of 4 daughters and dedicated her entire life to nurturing, caring, and loving her family. She volunteered at her children's school, local church, and the YMCA. She was always willing to help others without question or praise. She loved to square dance and round dance with friends. She cherished her 8 grandchildren and was able to meet two of her great grandchildren. Her sarcastic humor will be remembered as we get through the sad times of missing her.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Lee Schmidlin; four daughters, Mary Headley, Julie (Jeff) Maiers, Teresa (Mark) Snedeker, Lisa (Tim) Rizzo; sister-in-law; Sister Greta Schmidlin, RSM; seven grandchildren, Jamie (Mike) Jahrling, Justin Maiers, Jessica (Aaron) Ackerman, Gabrielle Snedeker, Lindsey Snedeker, Garrett Snedeker, Nicole Rizzo; two great grandchildren, Aurora Rizzo and Miles Jahrling. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, David Headley and her two grandsons, Grant Snedeker and Reid Rizzo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at CORPUS CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2014 Springdale Road, Cincinnati, OH 45321 on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00 am with Father Pete St. George presiding.
