Cincinnati - Jean Mounce, nee Brock, age 81 passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 16, 1941 at the family home in Molus, Kentucky to the parents of H.L. and Doshia Brock. In 1961, Jean was united in marriage to Bobby Mounce. She worked for Kenners Toy Manufacturing Company for 10 years and then proudly became a homemaker. Jean made her home very inviting and everyone felt welcome. She would not hesitate to share a meal that she prepared. So many kids in the neighborhood called her mom. Her heart was always overflowing with kindness. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, gardening and laughing with her family. Jean will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Karen (Joe) Siener, four grandchildren, Benjamin, Rebecca and Grace Siener and Blair Patterson; three siblings, Brenda Lou Singleton, Ronnie Gene Brock and Kathy Ann Massengill. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Bobby, her parents, her son; Robert Gene Mounce, six siblings; James L. Brock, Willow Sue Saylor, Patsy Lou Moody, Ruthie Mae Gulley, Infant Ruby Lee Brock, and Infant Julie Mae Brock.
Funeral services will be held at SPRING GROVE FUNERAL HOMES, NORTHWEST, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 with Pastor Don Stowell officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of service. Graveside services will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association - Greater Cincinnati Chapter. www.springgrove.org
