Edward "Pete" S. Harris, 76, passed away December 17, 2020 and is now reunited with his loving wife, June. Pete was born on November 4, 1944 to the late Edward and Julia Harris. He is survived by three loving daughters Michelle Royer (Mark), Melissa Wall (Jeff), Jody Kirch (Ike); eight grandchildren; sister, Judy Wuest; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to his wife and parents, Pete is preceded in death by a grandson.
Pete was a decorated United States Marine Corps veteran and following his service he went on to serve with the Cincinnati Police until retiring in March of 1994. Pete will be remembered as the ultimate "girl dad," always at his daughters games and was undoubtedly their biggest fan. Pete was generous and spoiled everyone he loved, not just family. He shared his love of travel with his girls and enjoyed throwing a good party.
Family will receive friends on Monday, December 28 from 2-3PM at Spring Grove Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Ave. Due to COVID restrictions, the family will hold a private memorial service following the visitation. The service may be viewed publicly through a link available springgrove.org.
