On Saturday, March 11, 2023, Dean Leibson, loving father and grandfather, passed away surrounded by those who loved him. Dean will be remembered for his caring and generous spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to light up a room. By many he will also be remembered for his extraordinary athletics in track and football at East High School in Corning, NY. He went on to play for the University of Missouri as Tailback, where he helped lead the Tigers in one of their biggest wins over Nebraska in 1976. He then embarked on a number of different roles during his life, with his most recent role as grandpa being his most cherished.
Dean was preceded in death by his father, David, and his mother, Gladys. He is survived by his daughter, Taylor (Jon), two grandchildren, Jackson and Isabella Riewald, two sisters, Diana Tilley and Davette Labay, and brother Darrell. Memorial services to be held privately with family. Memorial contributions may be given to Shiners' Hospitals for Children. Sympathy may be expressed at www.springgrove.org
