REIF, DALE BRAINARD, age 76, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away January 31, 2021, after a short illness. Dale was born April 17, 1944 to the late Allen Reif and Ola Scoggins. He was preceded in death by his wife Cathie Freidrichs Reif, his daughter Amy Reif, and his brother Allen Wallace Reif. He is survived by his loving daughter Jill Reif Kenny and her partner Troy Heimann, sister Sonnie Reif Jaccod, brother-in-law Randy Jaccod, sister-in-law Nancy Gulley Reif, and nieces Angie Reif and Jodi Reif Fischer. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and good friends.
From the time Dale was very young, he was an avid sportsman and would spend many hours fishing and hunting. He was a serious gardener and graciously shared the fruits of his efforts with neighbors and friends. Dale loved sports and closely followed all of the Cincinnati teams. He was a military veteran and proudly served our country in the US Army. After his service, Dale worked for Cincinnati Milacron.
Dale was a member of Abiding Word Lutheran Church, where he served the Lord for many years. He was extremely kind and always generous of spirit. He had a smile and kind words for everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.
Public visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM, at Spring Grove Funeral Homes (4389 Spring Grove Ave) with funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery. Donations can be made to American Heart Association.
