Cathy Ann Creason, 65, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at University Hospital, after a short hospitalization for metastatic cancer. Having matriculated at Murray State University in 1978, she moved to the Cincinnati area and began her teaching career at Campbell County High School. She then brought her talents to St. Xavier High School, where she taught English for 25 years and tirelessly served the student group Theatre Xavier for years beyond that. Her beautiful voice moved thousands at many church services throughout the city. A fabulous cook and the warmest of friends, she had many passions, including University of Kentucky basketball, the Cincinnati Reds, her students' performances, and legendary artists Judy Garland, Katharine Hepburn and Bette Midler. She was the daughter of Dr. Jack T. Creason and Montelle J. "Peggy" (Jewell) Creason, both deceased. She leaves behind many dear friends across the U.S., including many whom she considered family: Jessica and Beckett Hendy, Nancy and Tom Forsythe, Kevin Kern, Leslie Korbee, Michele Mascari, Quentin Mascari, Tim Martin, Braden Mechley, Brad Schoo, Douglas Schmutte, Ginger Mascari Stark and Ashlynn Uselton. She is also survived by her cousin, William S. Creason, and his wife, Louise, of Louisville, KY. Arrangements are being handled by the Spring Grove Funeral Home in Cincinnati, OH. Burial will be alongside her beloved parents in the Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY. A private celebration of her life will be held by close friends in the near future.
