Moreno, Carlos William, passed away on the morning of August 26th, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Tamara Moreno, his four children and their partners, Lidia Buzek (nee Moreno) (Adam Davidson), Victor Moreno (Jeanette Hargreaves), Igor Moreno (Krisztina Hovanyi) & Alex Moreno (Rebecca Smith), his eight grandchildren, Aaron Buzek, Emily Chancellor (nee Buzek), Sara "Elli" Moreno, Peter Moreno, Owen Moreno, Collin Moreno, Jack McKinley and Jonah Moreno, and his brother Carlos "Berti" Moreno (Racquel Boldorino) and nephew Leonel Moreno (Betiana Santarcieri). He was preceded in death by his parents Juan Carlos Moreno & Adela Zaffaroni.
Carlos was born in Boston MA, on March 11, 1936, and as a child moved to his family home of Montevideo, Uruguay where grew up. He returned to the USA as a young man to attend university where attained multiple engineering degrees, including a PhD in Industrial Engineering. He worked for several large corporations before starting his own company Ultramax Corporation.
Carlos was a devout husband and loving father. He left a positive impression on everyone he met. He was inquisitive and always sought knowledge through reading and discussion. He loved all the arts, but especially symphony and opera. He relished authentic food and drink, and enjoyed traveling and experiencing other cultures. But above all else, his greatest pleasure was being together with the ones he loved, including his immediate family, their partners, his grandchildren, as well as his dear friends. He left this world well loved and respected by all who knew him..
There will be a gathering of friends & family at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Spring Grove Funeral Homes, 4389 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45223, with a formal Celebration of Life at 3:30pm. A private family burial will take place earlier that day at Oak Hill Cemetery.
