Candice L. “Candi” Baird, 47 of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 following a sudden illness.
Born October 6, 1973 in Cincinnati to Loreda Johnson (step father, Jerome Johnson) and Ronald Baird, Sr. (step mother, Lynn Couch) all of Cincinnati.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her son, Chico “CJ” Chappell, Jr.; brother, Ronald “Ron” Baird, Jr.; step sister, Jennifer Proctor (James); granddaughter, Natalie Chappell; and a host of family and friends.
Candi worked as a Social Worker most of her adult life and obtained her MSW, LISW-S. She graduated from Western Hills High School Class of 1992 then moved on to college at Northern Kentucky University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree then obtained her Master’s Degree from The University of Cincinnati.
She enjoyed vacationing by taking Cruises and visiting North Myrtle Beach, SC and St. Pete Beach, FL. She was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoyed tailgating. She enjoyed spending time with her son, CJ and her granddaughter, Natalie whom she cherished. Candi had a heart of gold and had many friends and as a selfless person she inspired many people and helped others before herself.
In keeping with her final wishes she was cremated. Prior to her cremation she once again helped others by being an organ donor.
Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Spring Grove Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Ave in Cincinnati.
A private family ceremony will take place at 7 PM.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic only 50 persons are permitted in our building at a time. Please observe social distancing and a facial covering/mask is required prior to entry.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Candi can be made to a charity of your choice.
