Bobby Holtzclaw, of Batavia, OH, passed away on September 8, 2021 due to Covid complications after fighting for over a month. Bobby, better known as Bob, is survived by his siblings Billy Holtzclaw and Annette Ringley; his children Kristina Holtzclaw and Daniel Holtzclaw; his daughter-in-law Savannah Holtzclaw; his grandchildren Johnny Holtzclaw, Azariah Holtzclaw, and Willow Holtzclaw; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents Cecil Stanley Holtzclaw and Marie Holtzclaw; His siblings Johnny Holtzclaw, Donnie Holtzclaw, and Joann Holtzclaw; and his son Jonathan Holtzclaw.
Bob was born on November 22, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. During childhood he moved around quite a bit. He spent most of his young childhood in the Norwood Ohio area where he would spend many days with his friends and go to school. He was a very dedicated employee to the Floyd Johnson Paint Company and Georgia Pacific as a lead Saw Man. He unfortunately was injured on the job but due to that he was blessed to be able to spend many days with his children whom he loved so much. He chose to raise his family in Pleasant Ridge and then Anderson Township. When his kids were grown he settled down in the small town of Batavia, Ohio. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could talking and visiting with his grandchildren who knew him as "Pa". He also spent much of his days spending quality time with his good and close friends such as Randy Budai, Joe Barber, Monika Dadosky, Terri Morgan, and many others. Bob was an avid guitar player and enjoyed writing songs and poems for many of his loved ones.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be conducted at 12 PM at Spring Grove Cemetery Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Ave in Cincinnati, on Friday September 17, 2021. Visitation is from at 11 AM until time of the services on Friday. He will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery following the services. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
