In 1963, Spring Grove built its first communal mausoleum, the Memorial Mausoleum. This magnificent piece of architecture is a classic among American cemeteries and features stained glass, faceted glass, and Gemmaux windows, veined and matched marble, bas relief, mosaics, and wood carvings. The tour focuses on the windows and some mosaics. Join Marie Lager, a Spring Grove Docent since 2004, on this walking tour as she shares the origins, artisanship, and the stories behind each of the breathtaking window masterpieces. Registration is required as space is limited. Registration will open on May 31st at NOON.
