Ground Cover and Landscaping Services

Gravesites blanketed in ivy were very popular in historic cemeteries, especially Victorian and rural garden cemeteries.  Symbolizing many features such as strength, immortality, spiritual death and rebirth, ivy was and continues to be a favorite form of grave decoration.

Spring Grove Cemetery has over 17,000 graves covered in wintercreeper euonymus, or Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus.'  Many of these are cared for in perpetuity. Today, Spring Grove and Oak Hill Cemeteries offer installations of wintercreeper euonymus in certain areas of the cemeteries for predetermined contracted periods of time.

In addition to ground cover, we offer customized tree and shrub installations, landscaping and mulching services on estate lots.  These services are also offered for a predetermined contracted period of time.

If you would like to order Special Care Ground Cover or Landscaping and for additional information or restrictions, please contact Margi Dodds at 513-853-3732.

Note: Ground Cover is not permitted in certain Sections. Please inquire for further details.
