What is Lasting Legacies by Spring Grove?
Lasting Legacies allows you to tell your family story online, complete with digital images, cherished documents, a biography, and more. You can also invite others to submit their own memories and share stories. It is a place to collect, share and preserve your most treasured photos, stories, history and memories of your loved ones. Photos, biographical information, writings, images and messages from family and friends may be archived and accessed anywhere, at any time, for as long as you choose to share it.
Who can be registered in Lasting Legacies?
Lasting Legacies can be created for a loved one who is buried or has a recorded cenotaph at Spring Grove or Oak Hill Cemeteries. If the Deceased is not buried at either cemetery nor has a paid recorded cenotaph, a Lasting Legacies registry may still be created once the Purchaser pays the recording fee bundled with the product price.
Will my registry expire?
No, the Lasting Legacies registry does not expire. It is archived indefinitely.
What registry options are available?
Two registries are offered, the Introduction Registry and the Enhanced Registry.
What if my loved one is not buried at Spring Grove Cemetery or Oak Hill Cemetery?
Can I still create a Registry through the Lasting Legacies program?
Yes, you can still create the story of your loved one even if he or she is not buried at Spring Grove Cemetery or Oak Hill Cemetery; however, a one-time recording fee for a cenotaph is required.
What is a cenotaph?
A cenotaph is a record of memorialization for a loved one who is interred or inurned elsewhere. It enables the vital information of your loved one and the details of his or her final disposition to be located in the records of another cemetery. In the case of Spring Grove and Oak Hill Cemeteries, a one-time recording fee of $325 to create the cenotaph is required. This one-time fee is in addition to the Lasting Legacy Registry Fee of $75 or $250, depending on the Lasting Legacies Registry option you choose.
How do I add information to my loved one’s Lasting Legacies registry?
All information for the registry is submitted online. You will scan and upload photos and documents and also write the biography and content for your loved one – if you need assistance, a biography writer feature is included in the Enhanced registry option.
Can I cancel my Lasting Legacies registry?
You have up to 90 days from the date of purchase to cancel and receive a full refund. Upon cancellation notice, the registry will be removed and deleted from the site. The information will not be archived for retrieval. Cancellations and refunds will only be honored for the original Purchaser.
After purchasing, can I upgrade my Lasting Legacies registry from Introduction to Enhanced?
You are permitted to upgrade your purchase from the Introduction to the Enhanced Registry for the difference in price between the two registries, which is currently $175.
