5th Annual Full Moon Tours

Join us for this fun and unique view of Historic Spring Grove in our
FIFTH Annual night time tour of the cemetery as we welcome a Full Moon.
Bring a flashlight and join our "lanterned" guides for a unique view of
the Historic sections of the grounds IN THE DARK!
Due to the popularity of this event we require advance registration for all tours.
Tour group sizes are limited.
Tour participants will enter through the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home entrance and will meet at the
Registration Tent behind the funeral home.
Gates open at 8:00 PM.
Registration/Check-in starts at 8:30 PM.
Tours will begin at approximately 9:00 PM.
Event is free to the public. Tours vary in length and time.
Registration is Required.

The Night Watchman's Tour TOUR FULL!
Return to the 1880's and tour part of Spring Grove as if you were a night watchman.
We will tour the grounds checking the family plots of some of Cincinnati's rich and
famous, being aware of any body snatchers or grave robbers that might be trying
to ply their trade this evening! Remember to bring your "electric torch" (flashlight).
Monuments by Moonlight TOUR FULL!
Spring Grove's magnificent funerary art takes on a different "light" on this evening
stroll past some of the beautiful and interesting monuments that make Spring Grove a
National Historic Landmark. Ever wonder what some of the carved symbols on monuments
and markers mean? Learn the answers on this unique, once-a-year tour.
Untimely Endings TOUR FULL!
Crime, greed and passion are nothing new. Hear the stories of those who came
against their will so long ago and see the gravestones and monuments that
mark their resting places.
In Silhouette - History AND Horticulture TOUR FULL!
The arboretum takes on an entirely new look in the dark as the trees cast shadows throughout
the grounds. Learn about all of the magnificent elements that make our Arboretum and
Cemetery a National Historic Landmark.
Young at Heart
A tour just for younger folks, ages 10 - 18. This brand new tour has been specially
designed for our youngest friends. This tour will involve the least amount of walking
and will concentrate on some on the unique symbolism throughout the historic sections
of the cemetery.
Civil War Tour TOUR FULL!
The Civil War began in 1861 and came to an end in 1866. Spring Grove Cemetery was
founded 21 years before the Civil War! Learn from our expert Civil War docent why so
many soldiers are buried at Spring Grove and hear fascinating stories about several
Civil War Generals. You will explore Section 21, the Civil War section.
