Uncle Jim was a great kind and gentle man. Being from another state we didn't spend a great deal of time with him however, we didn't need to. It was about quality time when we did see each other. I always felt a close family tie to him, Aunt Laura and his children, my cousins. He was always there for my Dad, his brother who past in 1994 and I am proud to have called him Uncle. My hope is that they are all together now as we mourn his passing.

It was an honor and privilege to know Jim all these years*(approx. 30 years). .Jim was a very distinguished man. In the earlier years, he always had on a shirt and tie when we saw him. He generally spoke quietly, but you knew he was in the room! He had a dry sense of humor, but could make you laugh easily. Jim's intelligence was obvious, since he could make conversation on anything you wanted to discuss. Obviously, this is the reason for his tremendous success over the years. He was much loved, by all who knew him and will be badly missed. We did not see Jim very often, mostly family event, but,, the the impression was a pleasant lasting one! May you rest in peace, Jim, in the arms of the Lord!

Death cannot keep Jim from continuing to inspire people everyday with his work. Thank you for setting a high bar and especially for the Cozy Coupe! I still have mine and recently introduced my one year old daughter to it. She loves it too! My condolences to the family during this difficult time.

    Relationship: Uncle

Although I was not around Uncle Jim much as a child, I remember his visits to California with his family. He was always very kind and loving and reminded me a lot of his father. As I got older, I communicated with him more and was able to visit. He touched the lives of so many in the family but also touched the lives of millions of families across world with his inventions. There is a piece of him that exists within the hearts of so many with the memories he made possible through not only the Cozy Coupe but all of the other toys and many other things he was responsible for. I think of him every time I drive by someone's house and see the Cozy Coupe. You will always be in my heart. Say hello to my mom, Granny, Grandpa and Dave when you see them in heaven. Love You!
