Four score and 6 years was the life of Janie B. Hudson (86).
Janie B. Hudson's sunrise began on May 21, 1933. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Cast and Ada Mae Steele. When she was at the young age of 7, her mother passed away. Her father later married Delia Davis (deceased) and relocated their family to Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 1948, Janie married Samuel Hudson. To their union, their only child, Vivian Hudson was born.
At an early age, she confessed her belief in Jesus Christ as the son of God. Until her passing, Janie was a faithful member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Sr. Mass Choir, the user board and the missionary board.
Because of her love for cooking and making others happy, she chose to be a personal chef as a career. She worked in this capacity for over 30 years. In 1990, because she loved people and wanted to make a difference in the lives of children, she embarked on a career in foster parenting. She worked for Beechacres for over 25 yrs. During this time she was able to teach, lead, mentor, love and provide hope for countless children. She often stated that although the work was very tiring and stressful, she did it because it was "God's Work".
Janie B. Hudsonwas a devoted wife of Samule Hudson (deceased), mother of Vivian Hudson(deceased), grandmother of Marmlamma Tashammbe Hudson and Kabaka Hudson Sr., Cecelia Hudson, and great-grand mother of Kaleeb and Kabaka Jr. She treasured her grand children and great-grand children and embraced every moment with them.
Until her passing, Janie B. Hudson possessed unmathched memory and could clearly recall events from 50, 60 and 70 years ago in detail.
Janie was always willing to listen to others and never had a problem providing her honest opinion. She loved God with all of ther heart and always stayed faithful in her faith through prayer. She will be remembered for her wisdon, love of life and for her love of family
She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Carrie Adams, Coreane Jawwad, Loretta Harris, Castella Steele, Louella Pennington (deceased), Minnie Melson (deceased), Charlotte Walker (deceased), Mary Hunter (deceased),and Cast Steel Jr (deceased), her cousin Bertha Smith (Chicago), her niece Yvonne Steele, her her close friend and caregiver Debbie Lewis and a host a nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends
