After the wedding Libby joined Lee in Dayton, Ohio, where Lee enjoyed a 34-year career at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. They were married 52 years until Lee’s passing in 1996.
It was in Dayton that Libby and Lee's three children were born. Libby and Lee were both charter members of the Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering Ohio. They were both very active as members of Couplets, and Libby sang in the church choir and served on many church committees.

She taught French to 5th and 6th graders at both Smith Elementary School and Harmon Elementary School in Oakwood, Ohio. She transitioned to 3rd grade at Smith until she retired in the 1980's.
After retirement Libby and Lee traveled to visit their children, friends, and relatives throughout the country. They wintered in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, enjoying the warm weather, walking on the beach, playing bridge, and visiting relatives and friends.
Libby's love of adventure saw her traveling to Alaska in a van with her niece and husband along with her many trips to Europe. She loved to tell stories about all of her adventures.
