Sumana, Ploy and Ben, We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Dr. Keener. He was a great advisor and mentor with the wisdom, humor and enthusiasm, always ready to help. His charismatic ways won all of our respects and admiration. Now thinking about the UC days, We could vividly recall his laugh coming out of his office in the Engineering building. We will truly miss him. May Dr. Keener Rest In Peace. He will always live in our hearts. Anbo and Charles

Tim was friendly and very compassionate person. I never forget his kindness.  A lot of interesting people were always congregated around him because of his intelligence, sense of humor and resourcefulness. He frequently invited me, foreign student at UT, to the party held at “ Marty’s House on Collette” where I met a lot of his nice friend. I have a very fond memory of the people gathered there and all the best things happened at the place. We played volleyball, enjoyed all the food he cooked, BBQ, Oyster, etc, watched UT football game, watched him playing guitar, fixing his VW beetle, and of course drinking bourbon whiskey. He introduced me custom and lifestyles of East Tennessee. He made me feel that I belong Tennessee. Thank you for everything what you have done for me, Dr. Tom Clark Keener. I forever miss you. Dear Dr. Keener, I feel sad to hear that you left us. But I know you are now in God's hands. I am so grateful for your kindness ever since I was a student in Cincinnati 30 years ago. And with your encouragement I became a woman with selfconfidence and know that I can do better and better. You have been always a wonderful adviser to me. I love reading the annual letters from you, which linked us after my graduation during the old days when internet was not so popular. I felt warmth from your greetings and laughed with your humors. And how lucky I could meet you and Sumana last year when you traveled in Taiwan. I know Sumana must feel shocked with your sudden leave. But I am sure God and you will keep on watching over her. May you rest peacefully with God.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Keener's demise. I have known him via Air & Waste Management Association as a recent graduate at that point of time attempting to connect with esteemed researchers and colleagues in the field. I thank him for his service to the association. May his soul rest in peace.
