Obituary

The Life of Pooh Bear

Vicky Lynn Jackson also affectionately known as Pooh Bear was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 1, 1956, the second oldest of Mabel Stephens’ four daughters. She passed away on February 26, 2018 with her family by her side.  She is preceded in death by her parents Mabel Stephens and Clifford McClure.  Vicky was a graduate of Woodward High School.  Vicky worked various jobs after Graduation; she later retired from the Internal Revenue Service.  She was married to Larry Woodford and had two Daughters Tenesia (Niecey) and Tenika (Nikki) who were born of this union.  Vicky loved and safe guarded her daughters with all her heart. She later married George A. Jackson and they enjoyed sharing 21 years together while raising Tenesia, Tenika, and Tianna (Pooh Bear).   Vicky loved to shop (she could tell you what was “on sale” at most area stores), and loved to shop the Malls and Good Will. Vicky paid careful attention to others and put her shopping skills to work as she was very thoughtful while buying things for any and everybody. Vicky loved to travel; she had a hobby of buying pieces of jewelry at each vacation place. She enjoyed gambling and taking leisurely rides with no destination in mind. Vicky NEEDED her morning coffee which she drank for our safety, and loved her wine time with George in the evenings.  Vicky had a warm and loving heart, she was eager to help others in need, and she prayed every night.    Vicky is survived by her Husband George, daughters Tenesia, and Tenika, Ellyce (Antonio), son Anthony (Angela) Granddaughters Tianna and Sydney,  Grandsons Shawn, Tyler, Shane, Austin  Aaron, and Avery, Sisters Lynetta (Ron), Kimberly (Wayland), and Linda (Reggie), and a host of nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of Vicky. We spent a lot of time together while our kids attended St. Francis DeSales School. We served on the PTO Board together, helped organized the Annual Fish Fries, and she supported the Volleyball team that Tianna played on that I coached. Vicky, we are going to miss your beautiful smile and kind words. Rest in Peace.
