Diane Suttles Houston, 73, passed away November 15, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Ervin W. Houston; daughter Alexandra Houston (Jeff Moore) of San Diego; son Andrew Houston (Colleen) of Cincinnati; grandchildren Quinn and Anna Moore in San Diego, June and Frances Houston in Cincinnati.
An avid gardener, Diane volunteered at Krohn Conservatory, Civic Garden Center and Greater Cincinnati Master Gardeners during her years in Cincinnati.
Following retirement, the Houstons moved to Savannah Georgia, where they lived for 17 years. In Savannah, Diane became involved in a number of new volunteer activities. She became a docent at the Telfair Museum of Art; led a team of gardeners at the historic Owens-Thomas House; and was active in the Coastal Master Gardeners Association. Diane also served on the Boards of Savannah Tree Foundation and the Downtown Neighborhood Association.
Diane was also a dedicated orchid grower; having over 65 orchids under her watchful care and nurturing at her home in Savannah.
