Obituary

Hyacinth was born in St. John Parish in Antigua to Albert Allaway and Alice Charles on November 29, 1934. She moved to Connecticut in the mid 1950’s, then moved to New York in the 60’s. Hyacinth met Gerald Hill and married him January 30, 1965. To that union their daughter Sue Hill was born. Hyacinth was a devoted nurse aide for eight years at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, NY. The family moved to Cincinnati in the late 70’s. Hyacinth loved to serve, she had a heart for people.  She became a foster parent in the 80’s. She loved on children so tenderly and with intention. She was not only a pivotal stepping stone in raising these children, she believed, and no one could disagree that it was her calling.  She continued working with children at St, Monica’s Recreation Center on Chester Rd. until she retired.

Hyacinth had the most amazing gift of intercession. Her love for God and Kingdom mindset was inspiring. She was always encouraging, loving, and praying. Her gentle spirit and soft voice was so calming. People were drawn to her. She loved to entertain. She enjoyed cooking a delicious meal and hosting friends and family.

Hyacinth leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Sue. The relationship that Hyacinth and Sue had was more than mother and daughter. They were best friends. They cared for one another in love, and unconditionally.

The physical presence of Hyacinth will be sorely missed. Her smile will remain engraved in our memory. Her prayers forever working, her legacy shall never die.

Until we meet again Mommy………

The Wyoming Seniors mourn the loss of our member and friend Hyacinth Hill. Hyacinth was a member of Wyoming Seniors over 25 years. She enjoyed participating in our arts & crafts, bingo and traveling. Hyacinth was a giving person and always thought of others. Always asking about someone she had not seen for a while. Many times she often financed others to go on trips if they did not have the means. She loved her church also. Her sweet spirit and contagious smile will be missed.
