Horticulture Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for showing interest in our program! We are hoping to develop groups of volunteers to help in the following areas: keeping our front entrance area looking spectacular (weeding annual beds, containers, watering, taking care of specific gardens, etc.), controlling invasive species (honeysuckle, English ivy, burning bush), taking care of our tree and shrub collection (pruning, pulling ivy off trunks, mulching, etc.) We are looking for a volunteer (s) to help with our hybrid tea roses as well.
Horticulture Volunteer Opportunities include working side by side with Spring Grove’s nationally renowned horticulture team. Volunteers will learn techniques implemented by the horticulture department with hands-on experience.
Landscape Gardening Group Members of this group are exclusively dedicated to maintaining the historic front area of the cemetery and arboretum along with other high visibility areas.
Tree and Shrub Group Members of this group are exclusively dedicated to maintaining the health and structure of Spring Grove’s vast tree and shrub collection.
