The Spring Grove Family is pleased to announce the completion
of the angel statue on the grounds of Oak Hill Cemetery.
This statue is a replica of the original Christmas Box Angel
envisioned and brought to life by author Richard Paul Evans
in his best selling book, "The Christmas Box,"
which has sold millions of copies worldwide. A work of fiction,
but loosely based on real events, "The Christmas Box"
features a mother mourning the loss of her child. In 1994,
Evans commissioned an angel statue to be built and placed
in a Salt Lake City cemetery. The face of the angel was
modeled after that of Evans' daughter, Allyson-Danica. Today,
there are over 70 statues of this kind and ceremonies across
the county, enabling parents everywhere to honor the memories
of their lost children. To learn more about Richard Paul
Evans, and "The Christmas Box", log on to RichardPaulEvans.com.
In conjunction with the angel statue, Oak Hill Cemetery
is also pleased to offer Memorial Brick Pavers for purchase.
These pavers may be inscribed and placed around the angel,
creating a touching and lasting tribute to your loved ones.

October
is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
To commemorate this special month, The Greater Cincinnati
Coalition for Prenatal Loss will sponsor each year, the
"Walk To Remember" on the first Sunday of October,
at Oak Hill Cemetery. This is a time for parents, their
friends and families, and health care professionals to join
together to honor babies who died as a result of miscarriages,
ectopic pregnancies, stillbirths and newborn deaths.
