Floral Placement Policy |
In order to assist in the environmental movement, Oak Hill Cemetery
has adopted the following policy regarding floral placements.

- Fresh
cut flowers are encouraged throughout the year.
- Artificial
floral arrangements may be placed during the winter months,
November through March only.
- Only
1-2 arrangements may be placed on any space at one time.
- All
flower placements are removed weekly, on Thursdays, with
the following exceptions: Easter, Memorial Day, and winter
placements. (November through January). Flower Removal Schedule
- Flower
arrangements and wreaths may contain decorations consisting
of non-plant material only as an incidental part of the
arrangement or wreath.
- Non-floral,
stand-alone decorations are not permitted (i.e. balloons,
pinwheels, Shepherd's hooks, Christmas trees over 18"
tall, holiday placards, etc.)
- Monument saddles or
attaching (gluing, taping, wiring, etc,) trinkets or decorations to
markers or monuments is not permitted.
- Flowers
placed for a burial service will remain in place for 48
hours.
- Arrangements
placed after the second Thursday in November will not be
removed until the second Thursday in January of the following
year.
- The cemetery is not
responsible for damaged or missing items or floral arrangements due to
extreme weather conditions or wildlife damage.
- All flowers/decorations
will be removed from monuments with attached vases 3 times per year on the following dates:
January 13 / July 14 / October 13, 2011 (Applies to Oak Hill Cemetery only)

Effective January 1, 2010
Please be aware of the following policy change:
Effective, January 1, 2010, Oak Hill Cemetery will no longer permit
the use of monument saddles for floral placements or other uses within
the cemetery. In keeping with the high standards of The Spring Grove
Family, this policy helps protect monuments from damage, enhances the
landscape of the cemetery, and complements the cemetery's Floral
Placement Policy. We appreciate your continued support to keep our park beautiful.
