Tours of Spring Grove Cemetery

Spring Grove Cemetery is a National Historic Landmark and one of America's loveliest rural garden cemeteries and a unique Cincinnati cultural resource. Its 733 acres offer the public a magnificent arboretum, open air museum, and tranquil sanctuary just minutes away from downtown Cincinnati. To experience Spring Grove’s art, history, architecture, and horticulture in person, the Spring Grove Heritage Foundation sponsors public and private walking/tram/bus tours from April through October.

More information about our public tours may be found on our events page.  Private group tours, as described below, may be booked through our tour coordinator by calling 513.853.6877 or sending us a tour inquiry through our website contact pageOur tour coordinator can provide you with the full selection of available tour topics and descriptions.

PRIVATE GROUP WALKING/ BUS/ VAN TOURS are offered, depending on availability of docents. These tours cover a variety of subjects including the art, history, architecture, and horticulture of the most beautiful landscaped cemetery in the United States. Walking or bus tours for groups of 10 or more people are offered for $50 per group. A walking tour with a docent covers approximately one mile of fairly flat surface, or a docent can board your bus or van to give you a guided tour throughout the grounds. NOTE: Spring Grove does NOT provide buses or vans for tours. These tours are popular with garden clubs, school and business groups.

TRAM TOURS are offered for $75.00 per group. The open-air, covered tram seats 24 people comfortably.

STUDENT TOURS are offered to college and school groups at no cost for groups no larger than 30 accompanied by parents/teachers/chaperones at all times. These are one mile walking tours and can be customized to meet curriculum needs. Generally, this tour includes the art, history, architecture and landscape of Spring Grove. Grades two through College Graduate are accepted.
